After serving as a very active exploration company in the Permian Basin throughout the first half of the twentieth century, Stanolind merged into Pan American in the 1950′s, which then became Amoco through merger. Amoco allowed the Stanolind name to be released in 1986. We purchased the name in 2004 and have operated under it since that time.
